Two CSS projects received 2011 Boston Society of Landscape Architects Awards. The North End Parks won an honor award in the parks and recreation facilities category, and the Former Canton Airport Remediation and Reuse Master Plan won a merit award in the landscape analysis and planning category.

DESIGN CHARETTE - EMERALD NECKLACE CONSERVANCY
On Friday, December 9th, 2011, Carolyn Campbell and Diane Lipovsky will give a presentation and conduct a design charette for the Emerald Necklace Youth Leadership program. They will be examining Olmsted's legacy of urban parks and parkways and its relationsho to CSS' masterplan and site design for Canton Airport.

TOD CONFERENCE - NEW ORLEANS
Skip Smallridge spoke at a Transit Oriented Development Conference in New Orleans on April 14, 2010. The TOD event followed the 2010 National APA Conference and was jointly sponsored by the Urban Land Institute and the University of New Orleans.


TRANSIT NEW LONDON
Skip Smallridge gave a presentation on long range TOD goals in New London at a New London Landmarks forum on January 29, 2010.


24 HOUR INCLUSIVE DESIGN CHALLENGE
Josh Burgel participated as a team leader in the 24 Hour Inclusive Design Challenge, organized by the Institute for Human Centered Design. Josh's team won the Best Presentation Prize for their integrated wayfinding signage system.
