Magazine Beach, Cambridge, MA

Since the beginning of the 20th century, Magazine Beach has served as one of Cambridge's primary outdoor recreational areas on the Charles River. By drawing from the site's rich cultural and natural history and careful site analysis, a variety of improvements have been designed including: a multi-use pathway along Memorial Drive, a gathering space beneath the historic canopy, and extensive river-edge habitat restoration, new play areas, ballfields and improvements to pedestrian and vehicular circulation.
