The planned Hartford - New Britain Bus Rapid Transit line will provide opportunities for significant land use changes along the nine-mile corridor which encompasses downtown Hartford and New Britain, as well as residential neighborhoods and both active and underutilized commercial and industrial districts in four municipalities. CSS assessed the development potential for the twelve station areas and developed illustrative site plans indicating development opportunities, new parks and plazas, and roadway and streetscape improvements. The implementation strategy includes proposed zoning changes, design guidelines and funding and phasing strategies.
