As "the next hot neighborhood," Roslindale is seeing increased development activity, primarily for higher-density residential projects. The strategic plan balances demand for new residential and commercial development while maintaining the existing residential character of the community. The plan provides a blueprint for future development; identifies and prioritizes infrastructure projects such as transportation, open space and streetscape improvements; and resulted in the neighborhood's recently-adopted new zoning.
