Mission Statement and History

Mission

Crosby | Schlessinger | Smallridge is a nationally-recognized urban design, planning and landscape architecture firm with a practice centered on the intersection of open space, land use and transportation. Our focus is on urban projects – transit systems, parks, streetscapes and revitalization plans – the public environment that shapes urban life and connects people to their communities and natural resources. We strongly believe that collaboration with community residents and other stakeholders results in both a better design and a plan that has much stronger community support – support that is crucial to the implementation of any project. By integrating the political, physical, economic and cultural goals of every project, we have developed a strong history of moving from creative ideas to built projects.
