On Monday, March 14, EPA Regional Administrator David Cash announced that the EPA has designated a 3.7 mile stretch of the Lower Neponset River a Superfund site. Cash was joined by Senator Elizabeth Warren, Representatives Ayanna Pressley and Stephen Lynch, and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. The designation will begin a long awaited cleanup process and give access to federal funding, and scientific and legal assistance. CSS is proud to have participated in the revitalization of this section of the River with planning and design work for over 18 years (including the Harvest River Bridge shown in this Boston Globe photo)!
