Description

The Fairmount Commuter Rail line runs for approximately nine miles through densely populated urban neighborhoods, from South Station to Readville Station in Hyde Park. Creating a new ribbon of green space that weaves back and forth through the adjacent neighborhoods. The multi-use pedestrian and bicycle path will span the length of the Fairmount line and provide connections between parks, community gardens, schools, historic sites, community centers, and shopping districts. The project included working closely with five Community Development Corporations and related community organizations representing all of the neighborhoods through which the greenway will pass.
