Description

CSS conducted a study to develop a plan for a sustainable and vibrant mixed-use Transit Oriented Development district within a 1/2 mile radius of the New Rochelle Train Station. New Rochelle is the closest major city to New York City with both Amtrak and Metro North service. The Plan includes market analysis, build out analyses for select parcels and major infrastructure improvements to create pedestrian and bicycle-friendly streets, and a series of parks and plazas creating an amenity for and connecting new development. The Plan, funded by the New York and Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium, will be incorporated into the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
